Closing Century City BORDERS Part Two

Last night I was at the Century City Mall, and I saw that the clearance sale at Borders has ended, the store has closed. Most of the windows were blocked with that white stuff Westfield likes to use when they have a vacant space, but one window was still uncovered. I saw the empty shelves where many books once awaited eager buyers to take them home, but no more. Now, for the first time in over two decades, Century City doesn't have a bookstore. At the same time, two major rival electronics companies have stores on the main level of the mall. I guess we are all going to be doing our reading on $600 battery-powered tablet computers from now on. Good night Brentano's and Borders, we will miss you.
